Day 1-
Today I build my new landscape. I have a river going through the end side of the plan. On one of the sides of the river, theres a large mass of open space. That's where I decided to make my city, near the water. I then started building my roads in a grid pattern. After my roads were in a grid pattern, I purchased a power plant. I also bought water pumps and planted them right next to the river.

Activity -
3 cities that follow the grid pattern: Chicago, Illinois; Windermere, Florida; Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
3 that don't: London; Paris; Japan.

Day 2-
Today in my Sim City world, I build some more roads. After I thought I had enough roads to start with, I zoned the areas between the roads with commercial, residential, and industrial. I put up the power lines in those areas and people started to come. I planted the water pumps under the streets because I don't think the people would be happy with that running under their houses.

Activity -
Grid: The grid system is how the streets are designed. They are designed like a grid not like one street goes this way the other leads to a dead end and overlapping. That's not an example of a grid pattern.
Commerce: Is to trade or interchange goods between different cities.
Industry: Is any general business activity. The ownership and management of companies, factories, etc.
Residence: An area reserved for only homes for people to live in.
Zoning: Areas that characterize, for example residential, commercial, etc.
Property tax: Property tax is a tax you pay based on personal or real property.
Recreation: Recreation is when you don't like how something looks and you destroy it and make it again but even better so it's how you want it to be.
Mayor: The mayor is the chief executive official of a town, city, or village.
Alderman: An alderman is the chief magistrate of a county or a group of counties.
Common council: The common council is the local legislative body of a government.

Day 3-
Today in my Sim City world, I planted fire departments, police departments, schools, colleges, and hospitals. By doing this, it decreased the rate of fires, crimes, injuries. By building schools and colleges, it increased the rate of the people's IQ.

Activity -
Around the Burdick area, it's mostly residential. It's mostly single family but there are some double and multiply families. On Howell Ave., it's a mixed, residential and commercial. On Layton Ave. it's also a mix of residential and commercial zones. The residential area on Layton is partially single family but there are more double and multiply families on Layton Ave. then there are on Howell Ave.

Day 4-
Today in my Sim City world, something was wrong with my cities water system because half of my city wasn't getting any water. So I added a whole bunch of more water pumps and it seemed to have solved the problem. My people now have enough water to take 5 hour showers every day (not really).

Activity -
As of July 2008, there were more than 430 operating nuclear power plants and, together, they provided about 15 percent of the world's electricity in 2007. Of these 31 countries, some depend more on nuclear power than others. In the United States, 104 nuclear power plants supply 20 percent of the electricity overall, with some states benefiting more than others.

Day 5-
Today in my Sim City world, I had about 5,000 dollars and the next time I checked it, it was at 1,000. It took me a bit of time to realize that one of my power plants was wearing out so it automatically replaced it for me. I didn't know it could do that. Now I have more money so I build some small parks, big parks, and more residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

Activity -
A city usually receives water from a nearby lake of fresh water that's usable. For example, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. People who live here receive their water from Lake Michigan. People in Chicago also receive their water from Lake Michigan. Some other cities get their water from ground water. For example, like Las Vegas. They get some of their water from the ground but not all of it. They get most of it from the Colorado River.

Day 6-
Today in my Sim City world, I build more residential area and no one was moving in. So I put up a sign there that says "Move here!" That didn't really help but I didn't realize that I didn't have energy going in that area so when i put some power lines and people started moving in. But now I don't know how to get rid of the "Move here!" sign.

Day 7-
Today was the last day. I think my city did pretty good. I have good hospital coverage, good fire station coverage, and I have good crime rate coverage. The IQ for my city is around 90. My people are dieing at 70. I'd say that's not so bad. I also have some small and big parks build in my city for the people's enjoyment. I build more schools, colleges, libraries, and museums so my people could get smarter and discovery new things.
